The Sundstrom SR 500 system is a belt mounted Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) that features adjustable face and head gear. This system protects against particulates, gases and vapors, or a combination of both, and is suitable for work that is hard, warm or of long-duration. Filtered air is supplied through a breathing hose and provides cooling air for the for workers. Typical applications include agriculture, asbestos, mold and lead paint abatement, construction and building renovation, chemical industry, food and beverage processing, lead battery plants, medical and health care, metal work, welding shops, pharmaceutical manufacturing, power plants, pulp and paper processing, recycling plants, smelting and foundries, painting, coating and more.
